The village of Vrbanj is home to Frane Abramović, and his ceramics studio. Through the Udruga Varbonj society, he organizes an international ceramic art colony each summer. Ceramicists from around Europe participate, and an exhibition of their work from last summer, “Varbonj 2017“, is on now in the Zvijezda Mora church in Hvar (Open: 21st June to 16th July) Don’t miss it!

CERAMICS CLASSES IN VRBANJ – ENROLLMENT IN PROCESS
Classes will be held from 5th July 2018 onwards
INTENSE BEGINNERS COURSE: Becoming familiar with clay through basic techniques of hand-crafting clay, combination of techniques, decorating, glazing and baking in an electric kiln. Three hours a day for five days, or five hours a day for three days. Glazing on Mondays, 3-4 hours.
INTENSE ADVANCED COURSE: Making a larger form in clay, perfecting already familiar techniques, decoration, glazing, baking. Three hours a day for five days, or five hours a day for three days. Glazing on Mondays, 3-4 hours.
Maximum number of students per class is seven.
The price includes: expert guidance, material, work tools, baking. You keep the created objects.
